LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – (November 21, 2014) – In the presence of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, last month the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation teamed up with The Tiffany & Co. Foundation to cement their mutual dedication and commitment to the preservation and conservation of the oceans. To mark this collaborative partnership, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between them was signed at a ceremony at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles.
The MoU underscores the mutual missions and goals of the two esteemed organizations and agreement to the co-ordination of future projects, knowledge-sharing, as well as possible events. This two year, renewable agreement will see both Foundations appoint a representative to a coordination committee to oversee joint activities.

The signatories to the agreement were H.E. Bernard Fautrier, Vice President and CEO, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, Mr. J.B. Kelly, III, President of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation-USA, and Mrs. Anisa Kamadoli Costa, Chairman and President, The Tiffany & Co. Foundation.

Special guests at the signing included Mr. Michael J. Kowalski, Chairman and CEO of Tiffany & Co., and members of Monaco's consular corps, who were welcomed to witness the signing by H.E. Maguy Maccario Doyle, Monaco's Ambassador to the United States.

“The Tiffany & Co. Foundation is so pleased to be exploring opportunities to collaborate with the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation on key ocean conservation initiatives.  We have long been committed to the protection of coral and marine ecosystems, and are delighted to join with a leading voice in marine conservation to improve the health of oceans worldwide,” said Anisa Kamadoli Costa, Chairman and President of The Tiffany & Co. Foundation.

“We share similar missions and matching goals, so there is a remarkable synergy between the Prince’s Foundation and The Tiffany & Co. Foundation, as both distinguished organizations are committed to finding ways to partner together and support projects to help save our precious oceanic resources,” said Ambassador Maccario Doyle, who also serves as Vice President of the Foundation’s US chapter, and on whose initiative the MoU was signed.

The MoU was signed during a week-long series of special events in California culminating in the seventh annual Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation’s Award Ceremony and Gala Dinner on October 12, which was attended by more than 200 international VIP guests in the presence of Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco at the magnificent setting of the Annenberg Retreat at Sunnylands in California.
