CONSULAR HISTORY

History and development of the Monegasque Consular Network in the United States of America
Over the years, the Principality of Monaco and the United States of America have forged strong relationship. Today, this relationship is notably materialized by a dense Consular network that represents the Principality across the country.
Time and motivated human resources were needed for the creation of this network. Please find below the important events about the consular network:

  • April 6, 1995: nomination of Mrs. Maguy Maccario as Consul of the Principality of Monaco in New York

  • September 9, 1997: nomination of Mrs. Maguy Maccario as Consul General of the Principality of Monaco in New York

  • November 11, 1998: delimitation of the 8 Consular circumscriptions under the authority of the Consul General of the Principality of Monaco in New York: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York and San Francisco.

  • November 11, 1998: nomination of Mr. Dick Wolf as Honorary Consul of the Principality of Monaco in Los Angeles

  • November 11, 1998: nomination of Mr. Robert H. Dickinson as Honorary Consul of the Principality of Monaco in Miami.

  • March 3, 2003: nomination of Mr. John Drew as Honorary Consul of the Principality of Monaco in Boston.

  • June 24, 2003: nomination of Mr. John F. Davis III as Honorary Consul of the Principality of Monaco in Dallas.

  • August 26, 2006: nomination of Mr. Albert Manzone as Honorary Consul of the Principality of Monaco in Chicago.

  • December 22, 2006: the 8 Consular circumscriptions delimited on November 11, 1998, are placed under the authority of the Ambassador of the Principality of Monaco in the USA

  • August 20, 2009: nomination of Mrs. Michele Kessler as Honorary Consul of the Principality of Monaco in Miami.

  • August 20, 2009: nomination of Mr. Tomas Abreu as Honorary Vice-Consul of the Principality of Monaco in Miami.

  • October 14, 2009: nomination of Mrs. Claire A. Koeneman as Honorary Vice-Consul of the Principality of Monaco in Chicago.

  • October 29, 2009: nomination of Mr. Thomas Horn as Honorary Consul of the Principality of Monaco in San Francisco.

  • December 9, 2009: nomination of Mr. Ale Gicqueau as Honorary Vice-Consul of the Principality of Monaco in San Francisco.

  • June 22, 2010: nomination of Mr. Charles H. Battles Jr as Honorary Consul of the Principality of Monaco in Atlanta.

  • October 18, 2010: Creation of an additional circumscription: Las Vegas, responsible for the states of Nevada, Colorado Utah and Wyoming. The 9 circumscriptions are placed under the authority of the Ambassador of the Principality of Monaco in the USA.

  • October 18, 2010: nomination of Mr. Jonathan Warren as Honorary Consul of the Principality of Monaco in Las Vegas.

  • May 12, 2011: nomination of Mrs. Rebecca Rainey Fogiel as Honorary Vice-Consul of the Principality of Monaco in Dallas.
  • December 9, 2011: nomination of Mrs. Raffaella De Laurentiis as Honorary Vice-consul of Monaco in Los Angeles.
  • July 2, 2012: Creation of an additional circumscription: New Orleans, responsible for the states of Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi. The 10 circumscriptions are placed under the authority of the Ambassador of the Principality of Monaco in the USA.
  • July 2, 2012: nomination of Mr. Calvin Fayard as Honorary Consul of Monaco in New Orleans.
